Harish Chandra, our reader and retired civil servant, sent us this poem recently. Written in Hindi, the poem is a satirical commentary on the government sponsored ‘development schemes’. “Apart from the collusion of politicians, bureaucrats and certain other vested interest to corner all the benefits, the poem indicates the plight of vulnerable groups during natural and social calamities,” explains Mr Chandra.
